Tender description
CPC intends to put a DPS in place with multiple suppliers for the supply of Student Transport Services. A “Student Transport Service” is any form of transport relating to student in an educational environment, and the following are examples of what Student Transport might constitute: - • Scheduled Bus services from point A to B with pickups on route. • Organised coach trips to points of interest and education visits. Any resulting DPS agreement resulting from this exercise will be available to Further Education Institutions, Universities, Sixth Forms, Academies, Schools, Museums and other similar organisations who are CPC Members (https://www.thecpc.ac.uk/members/regions.php) and all CPC future members (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/get-information-about-schools). Local Authorities may also wish to use the resulting framework when procuring on behalf of Educational Establishments. Lot 1: Winstanley College is a large, Ofsted Outstanding sixth-form college providing post-16 education to students aged 16–18. The College offers a broad range of academic and vocational programmes, including A-levels, T-levels and applied qualifications, supporting progression to higher education, apprenticeships and employment. Current student numbers are stable, with approximately 1,113 students in Year 12 and 1,073 students in Year 13, giving a total cohort of around 2,200 students. Forecasts indicate that student numbers are expected to remain consistent in future years, with no anticipated changes likely to significantly impact recruitment. The maximum size of a single year group is approximately 1,250 students, with an overall potential capacity of up to 2,500 students. The College operates on an academic calendar of up to 180 student days per year, across the autumn, spring and summer terms.
