The purpose of this Market Engagement (ME) exercise is to seek input from potential suppliers within the market to establish options and potential costs associated with the council’s need to procure suitable containers to collect residents food waste due to new legislation which comes into effect on 1st April 2026. This will provide an opportunity for Wolverhampton City Council (WCC) to obtain an insight into what products are available, how the distribution of containers can be made. And gain an understanding into the likely level of costs and interest from the market to allow us to plan and budget for this requirement. Potential suppliers will not be prejudiced by any response or failure to respond to the ME. Potential suppliers must also note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an invitation to participate in any future procurement that WCC may conduct.
