Call for Tender for the provision of Hot Meals under the School Meals Scheme to Scoil Íosa, Oranmore, Co. Galway (20584R)

Tender description

Scoil Íosa is a newly amalgamated primary school in the village of Oranmore, Co. Galway. It combines the communities of two former schools: Scoil Mhuire (13365O) located on Castle Road, Oranmore and Scoil Iósaif Naofa (04506F) located on Maree Road, Oranmore. Upon launching in September 2024, Scoil Íosa will have 750 pupils enrolled. The school premises will still be spread over the two sites mentioned above, both within minutes walking distance of each other. The Board of Management of Scoil Íosa is seeking proposals for the provision of Hot Meals under the School Meals Scheme through the Department of Social Protection (DSP) and is dependent on the level of DSP funding approved. It is important to note that there is no kitchen facility available for food providers. It is mandatory that proposals submitted are on the basis that all hot meals will be prepared off site and delivered hot daily to both school sites, with waste collection daily also. No provision will be provided for any food to be cooked or heated up on site here. Only companies that can provide this service alone will be considered.
