Louth County Council is seeking tenders that will lead to the selection of a consultant to work with the Council, and other tourism stakeholders in the development of a 5-year Tourism Strategy and Implementation plan for the County. Located in Ireland’s Ancient East less than 1 hours travel from Dublin or Belfast, County Louth offers a wonderful array of historical attractions; outdoor pursuits; festivals; top class accommodation; award-winning local produce and delicious fresh seafood. Here thousands of years of history, myth and legend combine with dramatic scenery and coastline to produce a memorable holiday experience. The overall objective of the proposed tourism strategy is to identify actionable recommendations to guide and stimulate tourism development and investment which can maximise national and international stays/visits to our County from market segments offering an economic return and in doing so grow the visitor economy in the County.
