Reception Kennelling and Rehoming of Stray dogs ITT

Tender description

This tender relates to the reception, kennelling, return, and rehoming of stray dogs. Herefordshire Council has a statutory responsibility for ensuring its Stray dog functions are discharged correctly by virtue of Section 149(2) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and this contract will delegate those functions for the Reception, Kennelling and Return of Stray dogs. The Council deals with approximately 100 stray dogs each year with approximately 50 dogs going to the kennels. This requirement is for a 5 year term (initial 3 year term with the option to extend for a further 2 years).
