Provision of Research Support to the Child Poverty Practice Accelerator Fund

Scottish Government wishes to commission a research project to support the evaluation of the Child Poverty Practice Accelerator Fund. The aim of the research project is to develop an evaluation framework for the Fund, and to provide evaluation support to local areas to ensure the successful implementation of ongoing monitoring and evaluation across the local projects. Lot 1: Scottish Government, on behalf of the Scottish Ministers, wishes to commission work to support the evaluation of the Child Poverty Practice Accelerator Fund. The aim of the work specified in this ITT is to develop an evaluation framework for the Fund, and to provide evaluation support to local areas in year 1 of the fund to ensure the successful implementation of ongoing monitoring and evaluation across the local projects. In order to meet the aim, we anticipate that the work will take the form of two main parts: 1) Development of an evaluation framework. 2) Engagement with local leads and partners of the funded projects to support the set up and embedding of monitoring and evaluation practices. A range of methods are likely to be needed to address the aims above. The methodology will be assessed in the technical response and quality award criteria and will be agreed in detail during the inception stage of the project, based on outline proposals submitted by the successful tenderer.
