PROVIDER ENGAGEMENT: Future Contract arrangements for ‘placement’ services for Children and Young People (0-25 years)

Tender description

The Council held an in-person event at Newcastle Civic Centre on 17 July 2024 to discuss future procurement arrangements to supply the Council with placement related services for Children and Young People with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Care Experienced Children and Young People and Care Leavers to potentially include: 1. Department for Education registered pre-16 specialist education services, 2. Department for Education registered post-16 specialist education services, 3. Alternative Education Provision (for Young People up to 25-years), 4. Ofsted Registered Residential Children’s Homes for Children and Young People aged 0 – 18 years, 5. Ofsted Registered Supported Accommodation Services for Young People 16 and 17 years, 6. Ofsted Registered Residential Short Break Services for Children and Young People 0 – 18 years, and 7. Home and Community Support Services. Providers were able to give the Council feedback at and after this event. The Council has now had an opportunity to consider all feedback received and offer our response to feedback at this point. This feedback is for information only at this stage and Providers are not required to respond.
