The services to be provided to NIE Networks are essential to the effective operation of the Operational Telecommunications Network (OTN). JRC are the authority who manage Scanning Telemetry (ST) Radio Frequency spectrum in the UK and are the sole agency responsible for the issuing of ST Radio Frequencies used by NIE Networks on its Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radio network. Due to the nature of the services which the JRC provide to all UK Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s), under the current operating structure of the OTN, NIE Networks has the requirement to award this contract. Lot 1: Core membership subscription to the industry representative body, use of ST Radio Frequencies on the OTN and additional radio spectrum services
