The UK aspires to be world-leading in uncrewed systems, leveraging the extensive market capabilities to safeguard national security and foster economic growth. By collaborating with industry we will ensure we harness innovation to cohere operation and integration of uncrewed and autonomous systems. Through constant adaptation and iterative development, a UxS Strategy will be developed to shape MOD’s future approach to development, procurement, operational delivery, and support of Uncrewed Systems. MOD intends to cohere Industry and Defence knowledge to ensure the emerging UxS Strategy delivers against the vision set out within the Defence Drone Strategy. A market intelligence questionnaire has been developed to capture industry feedback on our approach. We welcome your insights to help MOD achieve a more potent military effect that ensures we are better able to defend against and deter our adversaries. Before responding to this questionnaire, we kindly request that you review the Defence Drone Strategy and provide your feedback by completing the questions below and returning by the 12th July 2024. For the avoidance of doubt: a. Responses will be without limitation to any rights or obligations in respect of contracts you may currently hold with MOD. b. Responses will not inform decisions pursuant to any current/live procurement processes. c. The information provided is to inform UxS Strategy development and completed questionnaires has no role in any tendering process. d. The MOD makes no guarantees or commitments, explicit or implied to commence any tendering process and in such case, the prevailing regulations shall apply as at that time.
