Tender For Thinning and Felling of Scots pine plantation with Timber extracted - One in three thin as well as create 11 coupes approximately 0.5ha each Lot 1: SLIEMORE PLANTATION (the work site). Sliemore is situated to the east of the village of Nethybridge the work site consists of 160ha of c.50 year old Scots pine plantation. The site is flat and the plantation has been racked and thinned in the past. There are two main entrances and a single formed gravel road through the middle of the plantation, linking the two entrances. We are wanting to give the work site a one in three thin as well as create 11 coupes approximately 0.5ha each. Depending on the values of timber from the tender returns we will potentially reduce the size of the area to be thinned by half, approximately (80ha) with 6 coupes. The work will needs to start in august and be finished end of December due to the ground conditions and soils on site
