Parkwood Crematorium Flat Roofing Works

Tender description

The Borough Council of Calderdale invites you to submit a Tender for the Parkwood Crematorium Flat Roofing Works. The works involve the full strip of the existing mineral felt roofing, skylights and coping stones to 3no individual roof areas. The works also involve the thermal upgrade, and waterproofing of the 3no roof areas using PROTEUS PRO-Cold liquid applied waterproofing system. The works also consist of the installation of new skylights and re-bedding of the existing coping stones to prevent water ingress at the upstands. It is expected that the outcome will ensure that the three identified work areas will be free from damp and provide the roofs with increased thermal performance and ease of maintenance. Please see attached specification documents and plans detailing all of the requirements The crematorium will remain operational and so the contractor is to prevent disruption of funeral services and site users by only undertaking noisy works (including stripping of the existing roof build up) before 9am and after 4.30pm. Site visits are a condition of tendering and dates will be published via the messaging portal.
