[Key message - please email to register for a supplier session on Tuesday 16 July 2024] <br/><br/>The DEFRA Group is a collection of government agencies and departments (Environment Agency, Animal Plant and Health Agency, Rural Payments Agency, Natural England, Marine Management Organisation etc) responsible for improving and protecting the environment.<br/>Defra Group Fleet Services (DGFS) are responsible for ensuring that the Defra Group operate the safest, greenest, most cost-effective assets and for procuring all fleet assets, ensuring they meet Defra safety and environmental criteria.<br/>The DGFS fleet consists of a range of commercial vehicles and plant. DGFS also hires commercial vehicles and plant.<br/>Through the issuing of this Prior Information Notice (PIN), DGFS wish to notify and engage the market to understand both supplier capability and the level of interest in this opportunity. Full details are included below.<br/><br/>DGFS are planning a supplier engagement event at 14:00 BST on the 16 July 2024, where there will be a short presentation detailing the opportunity and information on the key areas for consideration under the new framework agreement(s). <br/>This is following a presentation and one to one session held in June 2023. Due to the PIN expiring, this PIN has been published ahead of the tender publication. <br/><br/>Information about lots:<br/>DGFS expects that this framework will be divided into 6 lots, with suppliers able to bid for one, some, or all lots. This approach may change depending on the outcome of engagement. An outline of the proposed lots is detailed below. The intention is to award Lot 1 to a single managing agent supplier. Lot 2,3,5 & 6 may be awarded to a single supplier and Lot 4 (pumps) will be awarded to two suppliers: Electrical and Diesel pump suppliers. Please note, this information is subject to change and other asset types may be required throughout the lifetime of the framework.<br/><br/>Lot 1: Managing Agent:<br/>- Single supplier of these services<br/>- Manage framework suppliers across Lots 2 to 6<br/>- Single point of contact for DGFS Contract Manager and Contract Users<br/><br/>Lot 2 : Small Plant & Site Provision <br/>- Plant equipment, including the following asset groups:<br/>- Excavators up to 8t<br/>- Telehandlers<br/>- Rollers<br/>- Excavator Attachments<br/>- Dumpers<br/>- Tracked Dumpers up to 3t<br/>- Forklifts<br/>- MEWP<br/><br/>Site provision and security equipment including:<br/>- Lighting<br/>- Bowsers<br/>- Generators<br/>- Traffic Management<br/>- Fencing<br/>- Temporary Access systems<br/><br/>Lot 3: Accommodation<br/>Accommodation and welfare equipment including:<br/>- Toilets<br/>- Welfare Units – Static, Towable and Mobile<br/>- Storage Units<br/>- Welfare Units – Static<br/><br/>Lot 4:Pumps (a) and (b) <br/>Pumping equipment and supplies including:<br/>- Petrol/Electric pumps up to 3”<br/>- Diesel driven pumps up to 12” – skid mounted and towed<br/>- Electric Submersible up to 24” (must deliver 1 cumec minimum)<br/>- Hydraulic Pumps up to 12”<br/><br/>Lot 5: Operated & Heavy plant including:<br/>Operated: <br/>- Long Reach Excavators<br/>- Dumpers<br/>- Dump Trucks<br/>- Dozers<br/>Heavy plant including:<br/>- Long Reach Excavators<br/>- Excavator Attachments<br/>- Excavators over 8t<br/>- Dump Trucks<br/>- Tracked Dumpers 3t and over<br/>- Dozers<br/>- Backhoe Loader 8t and over<br/>- Loading Shovels<br/><br/><br/>Lot 6: Agricultural plant and equipment including:<br/>- Tractors<br/>- Bank Mowers<br/>- Remote Control Mowers<br/>- Agricultural Dump & Plant Trailers<br/>- Woodchippers Lot 1: (1) - Managing Agent Lot 1 for the National Plant Hire Framework. <br/><br/>The Framework will comprise several suppliers providing equipment across the lots (2-6), managed by a single supplier known as the Managing Agent (this lot). The Managing Agent could be a sole supplier of Lot One or successfully bid to supply equipment across additional lots. Lot 2: (2) - Small Plant & Site Provision Lot two will provide the hire of all small Plant & Site Provision: <br/>Including but not limited to - Dumpers, Forklifts, Telehandlers & General traffic management Lot 3: (3) - Accommodation Accommodation and welfare equipment including:<br/>• Toilets<br/>• Welfare Units – Static, Towable and Mobile<br/>• Storage Units<br/>• Welfare Units – Static Lot 4: (4) - Pumps For hire of both electric & diesel submersible pumps<br/><br/>Pumping equipment and supplies including:<br/>• Petrol/Electric pumps up to 3”<br/>• Diesel driven pumps up to 12” – skid mounted and towed<br/>• Electric Submersible up to 24” (must deliver 1 cumec minimum)<br/>• Hydraulic Pumps up to 12”<br/><br/>This lot will be awarded to two suppliers, sub lot 4(a) for Electric pumps and 4(b) for Diesel pumps.
