Galway City Council - Provision of a Cashless Parking Payment Solution

Tender description

Galway City Council operates pay parking in public car parks and streets across the city administrative area. The operation of pay parking is established by the Galway City Council Parking Control Bye-Laws 2009, which defines the areas where pay parking applies, the amount of relevant charges, and rules for specified types of parking permit. The Council wishes to engage a Contractor that will provide a comprehensive Digital Payment Solution for the payment of parking fees in the existing on and off street pay parking areas, and any areas that may be added in the future. The framework agreement will be established on foot of this tender competition / a competition for an initial contract for Supply of a Cashless Parking Payment Solution. The initial contract will be awarded to the successful tenderer shortly after the formal establishment of the framework agreement. The framework will involve the provision of a digital platform solution that will facilitate payment of parking charges in relevant areas within the City administrative area. The platform must include a web payment solution and a smartphone app, as well as any other solutions that offer the widest flexibility and convenience to the consumer.
