Tender description
The Met Office seeks supply of foundation level upskilling on the basis and effective application of machine-learning techniques for weather and climate applications. This upskilling is aimed at those who have basic awareness of machine-learning and what it can do, but no experience in using these techniques and setting up workflows to analyse or predict from the data sets they work with. The Met Office wishes to take this opportunity to open competition with its Met Office Academic Partners. Separately, we are considering whether to procure an upskilling offer for other levels. These do not form part of this requirement. The indicative budget available to develop and deliver such upskilling comes from the Transatlantic Data Science Academy and is approximately £50k - £100k.
