DGFT -Strip Out and Fit Out of Shop Unit

Tender description

Tenders are invited on behalf of the Authority for works to convert a former shop unit into a facility for the Trust to use for the delivery of Healthcare services. These Works are to be carried out to an existing vacant unit, which still has a former Tenants Shopfit in place. These works are to convert the former ‘Shop’ and Post Office Unit into a facility for the Hospital Trust, with a series of Treatment Cubicles, Consulting Rooms and a reception area, with some additional support facilities (Accessible WC) and back of house Staff accommodation. The works will involve the stripping out and removal of the Existing shop and Post Office internals, including partitioning, wall linings, flooring, ceilings etc., with existing staff toilets to be retained, remodelled and refurbished, and the existing shopfronts/access shutters/doors also to remain, with minor modifications. There is an existing Mezzanine in the Unit which will remain, but unused/screened off from the GF accommodation. Thereafter, the ‘shopfit’ works will include new partitioning and doors etc., to create the new layouts, including Consulting Rooms and Cubicles, with the back of house staff accommodation modified and refurbished from the existing facilities as above, with new finishes throughout with wall linings, ceilings and flooring, plus installations/fit out including new toilet/basin and kitchen fittings, benching etc.. As above the existing Staff toilets to be retained will be refurbished to receive new finishes and fittings. There will be new M&E installation throughout (Lighting/power/heating/ventilation, alarms etc.). The existing shopfronts/shutters/doors will be checked and left in good working order. The works will include the erection of Fireproof hoarding in the Mall to enable the Works to be undertaken. There are existing communal \ landlords services that serve the Malls, in bulkheads and some columns, plus services that run through the units, which will remain \ may need to be modified if necessary; there are also existing 'Landlords' installations (Rainwaterpipes/Drainage) and other associated services that run through the units, that again are to remain and are to be identified \ protected.
