Site Address: 77 Bexley Road, Eltham, SE9 2PE The Transitional Learning Centre will be purpose-built, to meet the needs of users with severe and complex learning needs. This would include complex Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe learning disabilities as well as those with profound and multiple learning disabilities or complex physical disabilities. The users would hold an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) and be eligible for social care input under the Care Act. The multi-purpose proposed SEND facility would provide places for 30 young users aged up to 25years of age, alongside allowing provision for up to 45 members of operating staff. The Scheme complex is to be set within a 2-acre site. The Council is the current Freeholder of the site. The scheme, when built, is likely to be run by an external service provider with a suitable track record to run the provision. Galliford Try Building Ltd, have been appointed for the Stage 1 PCS, which will see the design and develop of RIBA Stage 4. The Stage 5-7 appointment will be made in due course under a separate contract.
