Tender description

The London Borough of Merton is looking to engage qualified organisations to quote for delivery of a project to respond to local needs by helping advance and test new initiatives to tackle serious youth violence - an emerging issue in borough. The aim of the project is to reduce harm of children and young people and provide communities with support and resources to deliver sustainable reductions in violence. The project will carry out early intervention work in Merton secondary schools and community settings within the highest violent crime areas in the borough, and schools outside this area that have a large cohort of young people attending who live in or near these areas. This will be done through the mentoring of young people at raised risk of gang-involvement, criminal child exploitation and violence
