Award - Energy Smart Programme Works

Tender description

North Ayrshire Council (“NAC”) requires a contractor to undertake the installation of low-cost energy efficiency measures for those on low incomes as part of the Council’s Energy Smart Programme. The contract will be for an initial 1-year period, with an estimated commencement date of 20th May 2024 until 19th May 2025 with the option to extend by up to 24 months until 19th May 2027. Extensions will be at the sole discretion of NAC and subject to satisfactory performance and funding. Lot 1: The initial phase of the Energy Smart programme has been delivered, establishing an energy advice helpline, and offering crisis payments to those most vulnerable to the impacts of increased utility prices. The next phase of the Energy Smart programme is to deliver physical energy efficiency measures, and whilst an initial phase of households have been supported through the Council’s modified loft insulation contract, the Council seek to offer a wide range of measure to more households. Therefore 1.53m has been allocated to appoint a contractor to deliver similar measures offered through the ABS programme, to households who are not deemed ‘able to pay’ and are low-income households across North Ayrshire.
