Mayoral Election Booklet Printing

Tender description

On 02nd May 2024, elections will take place for the Mayor of the West Midlands Combined Authority. The Combined Authorities (Mayoral Elections) Order requires the Combined Area Returning Officer (CARO) to send to every elector entitled to vote in the combined authority area an election booklet. The booklet will contain information regarding the nature and purpose of the election, a list of candidates, the date of election and such other information about it as the CARO determines, together with election addresses from the candidates standing for election if they provide one by close of nominations. The WMCA requires 2.2 million A5 booklets, 90gsm in weight and approximately 24 pages in colour. Base text and information will be supplied in March 2024, but the candidate details will not be available until after 4pm on 04th April, which is close of nominations. The WMCA have awarded this contract to the successful supplier via CCS RM6170 (Lot 2, Print Management Services Framework). This has been undertaken as a compliant Direct Award to Cubiquity Ltd, who is the WMCA's Print Managed Services Provider (and were appointed in March 2023 following a further competition exercise via CCS RM6170).
