618133 M4 J17 West Bridge Deck Resurfacing

Tender description

Remove the full carriageway width between the kerbs from joint to joint and resurface during four night time closures of the west deck. 60m long HRA surfacing replacement, kerb to kerb, full depth. Where defective waterproofing is found this should be cut back to sound material. Best endeavours shall be to remove defective waterproofing, assumed as all exposed waterproofing. The method for removal shall be via scraping the deck, not by fine milling. Any remaining waterproofing shall have a clean edge, achieved through the use of appropriate hand held tools. The extent of any waterproofing to remain, to be agreed with the National Highways on site supervisor. New surfacing to an approximate depth of 110-160mm based upon existing kerb height and adjacent surfacing.
