Trafford Council have an opportunity for innovative providers to support a new development in North Trafford. • The accommodation consists of 6 beautiful self-contained flats with office space and staff accommodation. • The tenants would be a mixture of people with learning disabilities including young people transitioning from children’s services. • The focus would be on developing an outcomes based model of service provision which supports the development of independent living and integration with the community and works and is based on user empowerment. • The future – there will be other similar developments coming on stream later this year and next. • The catch – the timescale is tight. We have taken a great deal of care identifying people to move into this development, and the developers are keen to realise their investment. They need people to move in during August at the very latest. • The contract - 6 people, 5 years, approx. value £4.4 million.
