Join the Commando Force 1230-1600 on Tuesday 4th June 2024 at the Defence Battle Labs, nr Dorchester, DT2 8 BZ, for a unique opportunity to collaborate in planning the next iteration of the Commando Insertion Craft (CIC). With the existing LCVP Mk5 likely going out of service in 2028, the team would welcome a conversation about our future plans and the opportunity to provide an update on our thoughts as we decide what the Future CIC may look like, including an overview of the Commando Force Concept, CIC Concept, its user requirements and any updates to the planned timelines for procurement, as identified on the MOD Acquisition Pipeline. As this is a Commando Force led event, the afternoon will be led by the Commando Force team with further support provided by the DE&S Boats Acquisition team to give a brief high-level overview of potential procurement timelines. We look forward to you joining us on Tuesday 4th June 2024 for a key discussion on the CIC. All attendees are required to bring government issued ID to access the Battle Labs site. This announcement is not confirmation that MOD shall award a contract for this requirement and therefore any discussions during the event are subject to contract. Accordingly, any expenditure, work or effort undertaken before contract award is a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers.
