Small scale non electrical security works

Tender description

South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse District Councils run a community safety security works scheme for residents living in the two districts. It aims to help victims of crime remain in their own homes by improving the security measures in the property. The majority of the works are carried out to support people experiencing domestic abuse but they are also completed to help victims of anti-social behaviour, rogue traders, burglaries and exploitation. Most of the works will be carried out on properties that are either owned by the people living there or are privately rented. Some jobs will be for tenants of Registered Social Landlords (RSLs). The district councils ensure that all relevant permissions have been secured in advance of the works being carried out. The day to day operations of the security works scheme are managed by the councils’ community safety team who work standard office hours between Monday and Friday (with the exception of public holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year when the council offices are closed).
