RDE 398 - Review of NVZ Designations

Tender description

This contract will deliver a detailed assessment of the specific areas identified through the previously commissioned assessment, as having potential for designation or de-designation as NVZs, in order to: - Confirm if any areas identified for potential designation have previously been successfully appealed (EA will provide details of previous Appeal outcomes) - Source and summarise the available water quality monitoring data for the identified areas (the previous assessment used data up to January 2023) and then analyse the available monitoring data for these areas to assess the strength of evidence, in line with the designation / de-designation methods (including land use / loading evidence)1 , for potential new designation, extension or modification of an existing designation or de-designation (either partially or wholly). The contract was awarded by EA.
