As per the Prior Information Notice, published on 5 January 2024, the Central Bank of Ireland is currently commencing a project to outsource its collector coin function. This project will involve a competitive tender for the services required, and it is anticipated that the tender will be published in 2024. While this project completes, the Central Bank has a requirement for an online platform for the sale and marketing of the collector coins it issues. Based on our market research, the Central Bank is satisfied that competition is absent for technical reasons and there is only one supplier capable of meeting our current requirements. Lot 1: An online platform for the sale and marketing of collector coins issued by the Central Bank of Ireland. Having regard to the nature of the Central Bank’s requirements, the contract value identified in this notice represents the Central Bank’s best estimate at the time of award rather than a fixed value. The final value of the contract may be higher or lower than the estimated figure.
