Tender description

NIE Networks has a small, focused and highly professional procurement team. This team provides a vital procurement support across the business function and works closely with its internal stakeholders. In circumstances where this team does not have the resource or expertise to meet the service requirements of NIE Networks, procurement support services will be sought from the NIE Networks Procurement Panel. NIE Networks seeks to establish 4 framework panels of procurement expertise for the following specialist categories: - Lot 1 – Works Lot 2 – Services Lot 3 – Materials (Supplies) Lot 4 – Information Communication Technology (ICT) Scope of Service • Engage with key internal business stakeholders to provide solutions that ensure no disruption to supply chain and or planned procurement activity. • Provide procurement strategy advice in relation to procurement options available. • Manage the procurement cycle. Prepare tender enquiry documents, undertake tender analysis, lead evaluation meetings, participate in negotiations with suppliers and ensure all contract awards are underpinned by the best possible value for money outcome. • Produce contract recommendations for submission to the NIE Networks Executive. • Ensure all tender processes are fully compliant with all applicable legislation including the Utilities Contract Regulations 2016 Regulations.
