Tender description

ScriptSwitch is a medicines decision support system integrated with GP clinical systems. Embedded within the prescribing workflow and integrated with the patient record, it aims to provide actionable information and guidance to reduce risk, improve outcomes and reduce prescribing costs. This is a national contract by NSS for the software on behalf of the 14 regional NHS Boards. The software services a patient list size of ~5.8m patients and delivered over 7m GBP of prescribing savings in 2023-24. Lot 1: This is a direct award of a two year contract, with an optional extension of one year, to provide a continuation of this service which has been provided as a national agreement since 2018. Currently no other software solution can provide this service integrated to any of the GP IT Clinical Systems in use in Scotland.
