PAN2758 - Leicester Railway Station Redevelopment – Construction Contract

Tender description

Leicester City Council (LCC), Network Rail (NR) and East Midlands Railway (EMR) are working in partnership to transform Leicester Station into a high-quality gateway into the city that supports LCC’s wider regeneration objectives. In 2021 the project was successful in obtaining Levelling Up Funding from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DULHC), which combined with LCC’s own contribution forms a fully funded project. This tender was for a design and build works contract for the redevelopment of Leicester Station via a two-stage delivery: Stage 1 being PCSA with Stage 2 being detailed design and construction of the scheme. Lot 1: This was a competitive procurement conducted in accordance with Regulation 28 the ‘Restricted Procedure’ under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Leicester City Council wished to appoint a single Contractor to deliver the Works as described in the tender pack.
