R1BW and R2ITP Event Producer 2025 - 2027

Tender description

The BBC intends to tender for the provision of an event production supplier for flagship popular music shows: BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend (R1BW) and BBC Radio 2 in the Park (R2ITP). The events are held in different UK cities each year focusing on areas where there is an opportunity to build greater connections with audiences. The contract will have an initial term of one year for R1BW and R2ITP taking place in 2025. The contract may be extended at the BBC’s discretion by up to 24 months. A detailed specification and tender will be provided in due course. The BBC would like to invite interested parties to attend BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton to experience the event as a member of the audience. Attendees will have access to the arena and guest area with the expectation that they will subsequently tender a response. • Suppliers are invited to request up to x2 guest tickets for one day. • Please state your first, second and third preferred date: Friday 24th May, Saturday 25th May, Sunday 26th May. • Include the name, email address and phone number of each person who will be attending as well as the name of the company they will be representing. • The deadline for submitting names is Friday 10th May. The BBC will allocate tickets based on availability and the invitation is at the BBC’s sole discretion. Please note, tickets are limited with a total of x10 tickets available per day to be allocated between between interested suppliers.
