This is a 2-day interactive course which should cover all aspects of assessment and eligibility determination as outlined by the Care Act 2014. Including but not exclusively: • Exploring why and how staff should prepare for a needs assessment. • Thinking about personal outcomes, what is meant by needs and wants, fluctuating needs and eligible needs. • Using a strengths-based and holistic approach. • Tips for conducting and writing up an assessment • How to make an eligibility determination for adults • Providing the necessary evidence for compliance with the Care Act Keywords: Health and Safety, Adult Social Care, Assessment , Support Planning
