Edinburgh Dementia Post Diagnostic Support 2024

Tender description

In line with the National Dementia Strategy, this service is focused on the quality of care for people living with dementia and their families through work on diagnosis. The Service provides 1 to 1 support for people at an earlier stage of dementia. Delivery of Dementia PDS is currently subject to a Scottish Government Local Delivery Plan (LDP), standard to monitor post diagnostic support delivery - People newly diagnosed with dementia will be offered a minimum of one year's post-diagnostic support, coordinated by a named link worker. The service delivery and implementation to meet the standard is delegated to Health and Social Care Partnerships. Lot 1: The procurement falls within the category of contracts covered by Regulation 74 of The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and is being awarded in accordance with the process set out in Regulation 33, in particular Regulation 33 (1) section (b) where the works, supplied or services can be supplied only by a particular economic operator for any of the following reasons – (ii)competition is absent for technical reasons; there is a limited supply market.
