NEC3 Engineering and Construction Short Contract for Cuningar Loop Phase 3 (Allotments and Car Park)

Tender description

The Council’s, Community and Enterprise Resources, Enterprise and Sustainable Development Services had a requirement to appoint a suitable specialist contractor for the construction of a new allotment site including car park construction, fencing and footways at Cuningar Loop, Rutherglen. Lot 1: The Council has a suitable and accessible Roads and Infrastructure Framework, the Framework commenced on 2nd October 2023 and runs until 1st October 2027, with no option to extend. The Framework is governed under the NEC3 Framework Contract April 2013 and covers a range of lots for works/services as detailed below :- Lot 1 - Roads Network Improvements Lot 2 - Roads Routine Maintenance (Labour and Plant only) Lot 3 - Temporary Traffic Management Services Lot 4 - Maintenance of Council Bridges and Structures Lot 5 - Water Infrastructure Services Lot 6 - Outdoor Infrastructure Works Lot 7 - Groundworks Lot 6 – Outdoor Infrastructure Works was the appropriate lot for this project and the form of contract for this project was NEC3 Engineering and Construction Short Contract (April 2013). The Framework has the ability for users to conduct Direct Award or conduct Mini- Competitions based on lot selection and therefore Procurement Service undertook a Mini Competition where suppliers were invited on a Price/Quality basis.
