Requirement for fibre switches including support and maintenance to ensure appropriate infrastructure is in place to support the needs of the business. Lot 1: The council has the requirement to maintain access to the main data storage area via fibre connected switches, these switches provide connectivity within the data centre in Livingston and the DR data centre in Bathgate. The councils’ main data storage appliances receives and transmits data over the fibre switches to servers and onward clients connected who require to access applications and data. The switches must be capable of sending and receiving large amounts of data in a timeously fashion, directly attached with fibre and allow for management of allocated fibre channel provisioning..
