CBC-1528-T-AE Electrical testing and associated remedial works for Housing Services

Tender description

You are invited to tender to provide a programme of planned electrical installation tests and to carry out any requisite remedial works to various electrical installations across the Authority’s housing stock in both tenanted properties and common parts of blocks; all as further described in the Specification.The Services will begin from Wednesday 1st December 2023 for an initial term of three years, extendable at the Council’s sole discretion for up to a further two (2) years to a maximum term of five years. The Programme will be awarded in Orders for each address setting out the Services required. Lot 1: Central Bedfordshire Council owns and manages over 5,200 homes for social housing and covers an area of more than 276 square miles. In brief, the Contractor will be required to:- conduct Electrical Installation Condition tests to circa 1,000 properties per year, including the issue of a certified Electrical Installation Condition Report for each property. - carry out Portable Appliance Testing to approximately 21 Blocks per year, and approximately 120 dispersed dwellings.- where indicated from the EICRs and as instructed by the Employer, carry out any electrical repairs or rewiring to any domestic housing property. - carry out Communal Electrical Installation Condition Reports, including the issue of a certified Electrical Installation Condition Report.- where indicated from the Communal EICRs and as instructed by the Employer, carry out any recommended remedial works.- carry out annual testing and certification of all communal and emergency lighting installations; and monthly functionality tests. - following the functionality tests, replace any luminaires and undertake any required repairs.
