Tender description

The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh is seeking to expand on our metabolomics analysis capabilities with LC-MS instrumentation enabling MSn capabilities for structural characterisation of unknown small molecules and lipids. To facilitate detection of maximum analytes per run distinguishing as many isobaric compounds, a high-resolution (>300, 000 FWHM) MS system with real-time database searching capabilities is sought for automated data acquisition to enhance the profiling efficiency by auto selection of inclusion and exclusion list are required. Currently the only LC-MS instrument that support all these capabilities is Thermo Orbitrap IQ-X Tribrid Mass Spectrometer. Lot 1: Framework used and direct award based on specification being met by provider.
