Tender description

The appointed designer is to develop and complete the design guide for the shopfront enhancement scheme of the Stirling CARS.This design guide will- Provide indicative design solutions to the existing list of shopfronts which shows improvements in line with conservation guidance, with representations of potential improvements, based on suitable sources and contextual information.- In addition to showing potential design solutions to the problems each shopfront presents, the guide will engagingly present through illustrations how each improved shopfront could function in the wider townscape and building elevation.- It is expected that the more challenging shopfronts will require full suggestions, whereas those with only minor issues may only require discreet guidance and suggestions.- In addition explaining why shopfronts are successful will be key, so as to guide owners and planning officers in preserving those fronts.Please see Specification document for more details.
