YMCA Refurbishment / Upgrade Works

Tender description

The Council is looking for a principal contractor to undertake the refurbishment / upgrade works to the YMCA in Barnsley Town Centre as part of the Government funded Levelling Up Scheme. Lot 1: The YMCA is an operational site and the works include but are not limited to: Reroofing. External façade upgrades. Replacement of windows and doors. Replacement of shop fronts. 2 x New entrances ‒ Original building – there is to be a new entrance installed and the existing ramped entry and foyer is to be remodelled. ‒ Sports hall – a new entrance is to be created to provide direct, separate access to the sports hall. Alterations to existing utilities and services. Extend and relay surface car park. Refurbishment of changing/WC facilities including internal finishes (floors, walls, ceilings). Remodel existing layout to extend Chilypep kitchen facilities – demo and install new.
