WP4990 CTA Rail Fire Compartmentation - STAGE 1

Tender description

The Fire Compartmentation and Compliance project (scope of this contract) covers the following: • Rectification of existing non-compliant Passive Fire Protection installations • Enable fire compartmentation to be installed to current compliant standards • Associated temporary works (including during construction phasing) The CTA Cofferdam & Station Options Report noted concern that the fire compartmentation within the cofferdam is in poor condition. It recorded that a large quantity (approximately 300 locations) of non-compliant or damaged PFP installations were identified by visual surveys. It noted remedial works need to be undertaken to rectify the non-compliant Passive Fire Protection installations, stating that the Client is looking for the minimum required changes to ensure regulatory compliance and safe operation and maintenance of the fire compartmentation. The scope of works covers Stage 1 (Design) of the Fire Compartmentation and Compliance works, which is split into phases. Stage 2 (Build) will be covered by a separate enquiry.
