Supply and Delivery of Communal Recycle Bins

Tender description

The Council’s, Community and Enterprise Resources, Facilities, Waste and Grounds Services, had a requirement to procure Communal Recycle Bins (1100-1280 litre capacity) based on 125 x Blue / 125 x Grey made of galvanised steel with two perspex/polycarbonate panels at either side to allow the operatives to identify the waste stream within the bin and the bins also require to be modified for disabled access. This requirement is part of an external funding application for the Scottish Government - Recycle Infrastructure Fund. The Council’s Procurement Service identified a suitable and accessible Framework as follows: Framework: Scotland Excel, Recycle and Refuse Containers (SE0721) Lot 2: Wheeled and Non-Wheeled Containers over 500L Framework Period: 9 December 2021 - 8 December 2024 (with the option to extend for up to 12 months) The Scotland Excel Framework permits Mini Competitions to be conducted as part of its selection procedure with suppliers appointed to the relevant Lots within the Framework. Procurement Service undertook a mini competition where suppliers were invited on a Price/Quality basis. The following weightings were used to determine the most economically advantageous tender: Quality (Technical) 25% Price (Commercial) 75%
