Tender description

The Electricity System Operator (ESO), in December, will publish a draft set of recommended projects (the Transitional CSNP) for the electricity transmission grid. These projects will directly support the delivery of the Government's Net Zero 2030 and 2035 targets. Ofgem is committed to the acceleration of network build to support offshore connections and is responsible for approving and providing funding for these projects. To avoid being seen a blocker to Net Zero in this very high-profile area, Ofgem need to quickly establish our position on when (and how) to fund these projects.
