DoJ PSNI Modification Terrestrial Digital Microwave Radio Link Equipment (Marlin)

Tender description

The Police Service of Northern Ireland Marlin requires access to transport CCTV and Video for Public space video systems covering town centres across Northern Ireland, the PSNI perimeter site security and for special events. The Marlin system allows this. Lot 1: To ensure continuity of service to the PSNI for their critical business functions, PSNI require an extension of its original contract for an additional 5 years while the current technology is upgraded. PSNI will seek to rely on Regulation 72(1)(b) for additional works, services or supplies "have become necessary" and were not included in the initial procurement and a change of supplier would not be practicable (for economic, technical or interoperability reasons) and would involve substantial inconvenience / duplication of costs.
