Reconstruction of Millholm Culvert

Tender description

This project is for the design and reconstruction of Millholm Culvert on the U5460, South of Burton-in-Kendal. The Contractor will be required to undertake the role of Principal Designer & Principal Contractor and fulfil their obligations in accordance with CDM 2015. The Contractor should consider the design period required for the temporary and permanent works, including Technical Approval to CG300 and Design & Check Certification - considered Category 0 structure. The Contractor will be required to design and construct the replacement culvert structure, including modifications to the existing invert and upstream training walls. The Contractor will be required to design and check temporary works as required e.g. provision of shoring for excavation. The contractor will be required to establish, design, and construct a temporary by-pass route, including a temporary river crossing for all normal road going vehicles to maintain access for residents, deliveries, and farm traffic.
