GBC - The Provision of Treasury Management Services - AWARD

Tender description

Guildford Borough Council wishes to invite potential service providers to tender for a 3-year contract with possible two-year extension to begin on 1 April 2022 for the provision of Treasury Management Services. The Council currently has approximately £140 million in-house investments and £15 million in external funds. The council has internal debt for the General Fund CFR, but around £70 million short term borrowing, and £194 million external debt relating to the Housing Revenue Account. We have a large capital programme and are starting to externalise some of the borrowing starting in 2021-2022. The Council's Treasury Management activities are regulated by a variety of professional codes, statutes and guidance including the Local Government Act 2003, SI 2003 3148, CIPFA Prudential Code for Capital Finance in Local Authorities and the CIPFA Code of Practice of Treasury Management in the Public Services.
