Scottish Enterprise is Scotland's national economic development agency and a non-departmental public body of the Scottish Government. To deliver a significant, lasting effect on the Scottish economy, we work with partners in the public and private sectors to find and exploit the best opportunities for growing Scotland’s economy. As part of our new corporate mission, launched in January 2024, Scottish Enterprise will be focusing on nascent sectors such as Life Sciences, Industrial Biotechnology, Space, Quantum, Photonics & Semiconductors and Fintech. These sectors are fundamental to delivering our mission-based approach and we are looking to shape and influence those industries to articulate Scotland’s attractiveness in these sectors to global investors and partners. This brief now requires the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate experience of working with these nascent sector teams to articulate the benefits of the Scottish offer.
