1054 - Container and Access Step Maintenance

Essex County Council (the Authority) is issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) as a Request for Information (RFI) to engage with the market and to gather information in order to gain a better understanding of both the capacity and appetite of the market in delivering the proposed services, and to alert the market to a future tender opportunity. Lot 1: The Authority require a service for the maintenance of owned Containers and Pedestrian Access Steps. The Authority currently owns approximately 500 units of Containers (consisting of 15, 30 and 40 yard specifications), as well as approximately 125 units of Pedestrian Access Steps located across its 21 RCHWs. To maintain these items, the Authority requires adhoc repair and maintenance to ensure that they are compliant, safe, and operable across the waste service. The Authority wishes to invite interested Suppliers to complete the market engagement questionnaire which can be found at the link below: https://forms.office.com/e/LKNvndGLTU The closing date for this questionnaire is 12pm (midday) on Tuesday 2nd April 2024. It is important to note that this PIN is not a call for competition and as such you will need to express your interest in any future tender opportunity once the contract notice is published in Find a Tender and on Contracts Finder. It should also be noted that this PIN invites individuals and organisations to express an interest in this exercise only, and it is NOT a pre-qualification questionnaire. It is also NOT part of any pre-qualification or selection process. This PIN is intended as an awareness, communication, and information gathering exercise. An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in any future tendering process nor does it infer any preferential or special status on those individuals and organisations who participate.
