Tender description
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A PROCUREMENT. Nottingham City Council would like to test the viability of our specification for a new block contract for Overnight Short Breaks for children/young people with highly complex health needs and physical disabilities. This is being undertaken in partnership with the ICB. We are seeking to expand our current offer to families through development of a bespoke, high quality and local arrangement. Our aspiration is to achieve a close partnership built on clear communication, an understanding of working practices and an expectation for collaborative problem solving. We are now seeking feedback from providers as to their appetite for this arrangement, potential challenges, and opportunities to achieve outcomes across quality and value. We are keen to understand how the service may be developed to ensure maximum use and impact whilst ensuring viability for the provider. We want to be considered a partner of choice and are keen to hear how an effective partnership may be supported. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A PROCUREMENT. This information will be used to inform the development of the service model. It will not contribute to the evaluation of any tender process. Please review the attached service information and consider the following: – • Would this be a viable service for your organisation to deliver taking into consideration your current available accommodation and capacity? • The viability of delivery at £760,000 per year. If this is not deemed viable, please provide comment as to a more appropriate amount for the 4 beds as specified. • What is your view of the scope of the service i.e., the age range, registration requirement and range of needs? Would anything impact your ability to bid? Would you prefer to offer a short break offer separately to the 4th Step down bed and if so how may this effect pricing? • What would be an appropriate contract length? We would also be interested in your thoughts on alternative models of overnight delivery or other short break solutions you may have, including for example, daytime support, to meet the needs of this group of children and young people. In order to inform our next steps and a future model of support to families requiring a short break we would value your thoughts about the specification and any comments you would like to make about it. If you would like a further 1:1 conversation to inform these early exploratory conversations, please ask. Please respond by email to SCandMD@nottinghamcity.gov.uk by 25 March 2024. Please title your email Overnight Short Breaks – Complex Health Cohort Market Test. I look forward to hearing from you. Zoe Richards, Lead Commissioning Officer Nottingham City Council Keywords: care, healthcare and support overnight accommodation disabled children, disabled children
