The Reprocessing of Rigid Plastics from Sullatober Household Recycling Centre

The primary duty of the Contractor/Contractors is to ensure the treatment and recycling of rigid plastics delivered from the following Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Recycling Centre: • Sullatober Recycling Centre, 10 Marshallstown Road, Carrickfergus, BT38 9DE Household Recycling Centre (HRC) Opening Hours Site opening hours can be found at: https://www.midandeastantrim.gov.uk/resident/waste-recycling/household-recycling-centres/ The Contractor is to: • Provide a service to treat and recycle the specified contract waste from Council Recycling Centres so as to divert waste from landfill; • Divert ALL non-contaminated waste from landfill by means of reuse, recycling or recovery; • Provision of a licenced facility with weighbridge for the reception of the waste materials • Maximising the recovery of materials for recycling • Recovery on non-recyclable materials to the relevant EFW/RDF/SRF • Provision of all required management information reporting including all required dockets, certificates and/or evidence required by legislation and NIEA • Collect data and produce reports detailing the quantity of Contract Waste collected – by material type, final destinations and end uses of all outputs; • Provision of an undertaking that recyclable materials collected will not be deposited at landfill sites • Confirm that all waste collected from Council will be processed and treated to meet end of waste criteria as required by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.
