Ocean Country Partnership Programme: Vanuatu Community Conservation Area Ranger Toolkit and App Development

Tender description

This contract is being delivered on behalf of DEPC. DEPC have requested support for the continued development and expansion of a Community Conservation Area (CCA) ranger toolkit and app to collect and collate data from community rangers. This development is the continuation of a pilot development underway, lead by Live & Learn Vanuatu. This development will expand the pilot toolkit and app to include more species monitoring capacity, gathering evidence needed to establish and maintain Community Conservation Areas (CCAs). With JNCC also developing a data management system for DEPC, supporting in this app development will ensure data collected by communities are fed directly into the data system controlled by DEPC. By enhancing the data management tools available to DEPC, OCPP will support the department's capacity to make evidence-based decisions related to biodiversity conservation and protection, Environmental Impact Assessments, and environmental pollution management.
