Legal Services to support the Shipbuilding Credit Guarantee Scheme (SCGS)

Tender description

The supplier will be required to commit to the following. - Advising on the creation of and producing template documentation for the purpose of the Shipbuilding Credit Guarantee Scheme based on UKEF's Standard Buyer Loan Guarantee product by incorporating (i) provisions relevant to ship finance secured transactions (including but not limited to ship finance security specific provisions) and (ii) scheme specific requirements including (but not limited to) 80/20 split, premium normally being payable from loan interest (as per Export Development Guarantee Facilities Agreement). - Advising on and producing a pre and post-delivery secured ship finance template facilities agreement (long-form facility agreement) in line with shipping market practice and a template DBT guarantee to be used in the delivery of the UK government's Shipbuilding Credit Guarantee Scheme (SCGS). Both the template facility agreement and the template guarantee will be based on the UK Export Finance (UKEF) Development Guarantee documentation which includes UKEF specific policy requirements.
