Asbestos Surveys

Tender description

The aim of this contract is to ensure LHA have a contractor in place to deliver the asbestos survey programme. Re-Inspection (Where ACMs have been identified) to check condition has not deteriorated: 217 annually Management (pre-2000 properties with no previous asbestos surveys completed): 200 annually Re-Inspection Surveys: These are to be completed within properties where asbestos containing materials (ACMs) have previously been identified. The report should show the location, photograph of the ACM and an indication of the condition. The Survey should also confirm the risk posed to those within the dwelling. Management Surveys: This is a full survey of a property, including samples to be taken of suspected ACMs. This report should either confirm that there are no suspected ACMs through out the property or advise of where samples were taken and the results of this. Where ACMs are found, the report should give a recommendation for either removal, encapsulation or monitor. Those that require monitoring will move over to the re-inspection programme Refurbishment/Demolition Surveys: These will be instructed prior to any planned works within a pre-2000 property. The surveys should be intrusive within the area that work will be completed Consideration given for an estimate of 20 targeted refurbishment surveys per annum depending on nature of planned works.
